The smurfs’ world was tailor-made for 3d, the volume and pristine look legend3d produced on this film serves as a testament to the highest quality stereoscopic conversion. Partnering with vfx supervisor, Robe Engle, and Sony pictures imageworks, Legend 3d converted over 1000 shots throughout more than 62 minutes. Legend3d collaborated with numerous 2d vfx vendors to seamlessly convert and blend both live-action and cg characters into natively-rendered 3d cg environment.
