Released at Comic Con 2017, “People of Earth: Abduction” is the VR piece accompanying TBS’s People of Earth. In this VR experience, the viewer is the abductee waking up on an examination table surrounded by aliens who are just going about their normal day at work—studying a human specimen while engaging in humorous office banter and bickering.
Legend provided stitching, stereo conversion, as well as look dev, previz, animation, lighting and particle simulations for the full CG shot. Legend also provided final creative editorial and color services.

This VR experience was created as a behind the scenes 360 video to promote the premiere of the new S.W.A.T. TV series on CBS. Featuring star of the show Shemar Moore, the viewer is guided through a series of script to screen breakdowns of some the pilot episode’s most exciting stunt sequences in full 360 video. Legend provided stitching services for this VR experience.

“We Who Remain” is an immersive VR film that takes the viewer into the heart of the forgotten conflict in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan amid an active fighting season. The film weaves together the lives of four people – a student, a rebel soldier, a journalist, and a mother – who struggle to improve their lives in the midst of a relentless war. Legend provided post production stitching on this film.
Kong: Destination Skull Island is an immersive VR experience that brings the mighty Kong to life in VR for the first time. This visually stunning adventure places the viewer at the center of an epic battle sequence starting with a ride on the Sky Devil helicopter squadron on a flight across the uncharted destination of Skull Island. Legend completed stitching, dmp (digital matte painting), and stereo conversion for this piece.
Legend was tasked with creating a 5minute brand-narrative VR short, where Stubhub could tell the story of two friends discovering what it takes to stay connected in the modern age. With over 1.5M views on YouTube 360, this piece demonstrates the special celebration of the power of live virtual experiences.

Get up close and personal with the scientists of LIGO and their thrilling discovery: the detection of gravitational waves from a massive, faraway collision between black holes. Gravitational waves, or ripples in spacetime, were believed to be so small that humans would never observe them. The Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO), was built by an MIT physics professor to prove this theory wrong and measure extremely small disturbances in spacetime - leading to this amazing inter-space discovery. Legend provided pre-vis, motion graphics, and full CG shots.

Based on an episode of NBC’s “Timeless”, this immersive VR experience lets takes the viewer on a journey through time while sitting on the Lifeboat time machine while Connor Mason (Paterson Joseph) relays a mission to execute. The viewer is then transported to July 20, 1969 at the NASA Mission Control in Houston, with the Apollo 11 moon landing just minutes away. Legend designed and animated all of the motion graphics HUDs as well as did stereo ceiling replacements inside Mission Control.

One of the first VR films created as part of Hulu’s VR App launch and dive into unique VR content , “The Big One” invites viewers to witness a meteor shower that soon turns into an apocalyptic nightmare. Legend completed stereo conversion and VFX including digital matte paintings and dynamic simulations for atmospherics, meteors, and building destruction. This VR experience is available on Hulu.
Left Behind is a social justice piece on prison reform. This virtual reality scripted short is designed to create empathy for children impacted by pain and loss after a parent is incarcerated. It follows a nine year old girl who ends up in a foster group home after her mother is incarcerated for a first time offense. Legend provided on set supervision, stitching, DI, and final conform and transcoding.

Start out by getting your orders from Amanda Waller as part of the squad, then become immersed in a scene from the film by watching alongside the Squad and then as Harley Quinn herself. Legend played a key role in stitching, stabilization, stereo conversion, title card enhancements as well as creating a CG digital double for Harley Quinn.

REX is a high-value real-estate firm that works with home buyers and sellers to create innovative selling strategies supported with sophisticated SEO, SEM and emerging digital marketing techniques. For this collaboration, REX approached Legend to fulfill the creative pitch, pre-production, production, post-production and VFX on a $57M home in Malibu. Legend was also tasked with supporting REX in distribution, content hosting and management of the finished VR experience. This collaboration received international coverage as an unprecedented marketing tactic likely to trigger a major market shift for real estate professionals.
Legend VR produces Stan Lee’s first VR project for Stan Lee’s Cosmic Crusaders. Legend VR provided the creative concept of reimagining Stan Lee’s new 2D animation series into an up close and personal VR immersive experience which seats you shotgun to Stan Lee as he welcomes you into a 360 CG environment from his new series. Legend VR also produced the 2D animation and VR from creative through completion.
A meteor shower threatens to destroy Earth and all its inhabitants in the first VR experience launched on Hulu’s VR app. Legend completed stereo conversion and VFX work, including meteors matte paintings, destruction and atmospherics in this collaboration between RocketJump, Hulu and Lionsgate.
On a single breath, two marine scientists drop a hundred feet below the ocean’s surface in pursuit of the “click effect”, a type of communication used by dolphins and sperm whales. Legend completed the stitching, stereo conversion, VFX work, as well as the Final DI in this stunning aquatic VR experience.
Jay-Z. Beyonce. Nicki Minaj. The biggest names in music took over Brooklyn’s Barclay for one night only to celebrate the streaming service Tidal reaching one million subscribers. Legend captured 360 degrees of the star-studded concert and completed the stitching, stereo conversion and final DI.
Fly among the (Hollywood) stars in “Take Flight”, the New York Times’ piece that celebrates the year’s best actors. From on-set supervision to full CG environment creation, LegendVR worked with Director Daniel Askill to honor iconic airborne moments in film. Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Lily Tomlin, Jacob Tremblay, Rooney Mara, Benicio del Toro, Mya Taylor and Jason Mitchell star in this powerful piece.
Drones hover above a riot as the band Muse plays on in this 360 degree immersive music video for Apple Music. Legend completed stitching, VFX work including CG drones and atmospherics, stereo motion graphics and final DI in this dystopian VR experience.
Based on the film Crimson Peak, this chilling VR experience will take you inside Allerdale Hall: a gothic mansion where nothing is as it seems. Legend’s first all CG VR production was created in collaboration with Legendary Pictures’ VR and marketing teams, Mr.X (who provided vfx on the feature film), and of course, director Guillermo Del Toro. To give viewers a firsthand glimpse into the artisanal process of creating patron tequila, legend crafted a firstofitskind vr experience partnering with director Mark Hudsi and creative agency firstborn. With Patron’s signature bee as the guide, and utilizing drone technology with a 360 degree mounted 7camera rig developed by legend’s vr gurus, the 3D experience pairs live cinematic cgi animation fully integrated into gorgeous live action environments, converted to stereo.
Legend’s first live action VR project was the much acclaimed short “The Recruit: R U IN”... A narrative 3 minute experience captured in 2d and stitched/converted to stereo 3D by Legend. Utilizing our proprietary depth-grading software to make real time 3D depth adjustments in 360 degree space, “The Recruit” is featured and available on Samsung’s Milk VR store for download. Adriana Lee, of readwrite.com, calls The Recruit ”...the best Milk VR title” in her article on the launch of the milk VR app. The piece was a breakthrough in creating a VR pipeline that improved efficiency and increased creative flexibility in shooting VR content in 2d, and then converting to 3D as a post-process.
